As you can see, the world of smartphones is getting more and more advanced every year. In this article, we are going to tell you my personal opinion about the best and worst smartphones available on the market, along with some tips on how to get the most out of your phone without spending a lot of money.

1. Samsung Galaxy S21+

Samsung has been leading the charge in the field of devices for many years now. There is no doubt that when it comes to smartphones they have the upper hand. These days there is nothing better than using them as my main device, and yes I have one of the finest ones I’ve seen so far. It feels like everything is just easy to access, and this combination makes it a perfect choice to use.

2. iPhones vs. Android

One of the biggest debates we have here at ZDNet all of us has on whether we should pick an iPhone or an android device. And I must say for myself I’ll never be against choosing between these two giants, but what I would have liked was to have 4 different smartphones instead of only one. So obviously you’ve got 2 options right there – the iPhone 12 and the latest version of the iPhone 11. But the problem here is that as soon as people start to build up their own customized devices then this issue starts popping up again, which means that both these brands will try to dominate users of the other brand as much as possible. This does not make sense at all since the idea that you can have 4 different models sounds awesome. On the plus side, if you buy a new apple phone and install iOS 14 then you can even make changes to those things like Face ID and Touch ID.

3. Samsung Galaxy M31

I know there are always people who want to start fresh and try something out and decide to get something completely new. Even when you go to the store you see almost everyone trying to upgrade themselves from last year’s model to a shiny version or something else. Well the question that I can’t help asking myself is “why bother? It seems like every year you spend a ton of cash on upgrading and buying new stuff. Why bother then looking for ways to save it all by switching from one brand to another? Yes, you can do that but if you don’t know exactly what you want, and the answer is probably to change the whole thing rather than buy everything new you could end up paying too much for a good few months to change your life.

4. iPhones vs. Android

At times you just need to look around and see which company’s products you like the best and the cheapest option and sometimes it gets complicated. What do you want to get? You don’t have to think very hard about which model to choose either an iPhone or an Android because both are great phones. However, if you take a closer look at the features you’ll see that the price differs too.

5. LG G5 ThinQ QN20 Plus

For me (myself) this is a perfect example that I always pick a single model from each company over multiple. But when you take a closer look at all the specifications of the screen it becomes clear why this specific model isn’t ideal to choose the iPhone. As for the design, it is pretty standard-looking with a 6.5-inch panel. The camera app in particular is a bit messy, though it works.

6. Xiaomi Mi 11

I mean the new Xiaomi Mi 11 is the one that has gained a lot of popularity so far with its affordable price. From that one thing alone it takes the cake when it comes to devices like this. For that price range and even though the performance is not that great it still manages to be decent.

7. Nokia 3.3

This is one phone that you just have to pick for yourself. If you can find any good deals on this one in 2021 there isn’t anyone who won’t have a good reason to buy. And not only that, this three-year-old product will never let you down, especially given the fact that you can change the RAM if needed. Another advantage of this variant isn't that it doesn't face restrictions in terms of battery life, unlike the others, meaning it can keep a full charge for as long as you need it.

8. Amazon Fire HD 10

I am not sure if this is necessarily bad advice, but at first, glance what looks more appealing to me (even from the manufacturers) is the price. Compared to the real deal, the sale price for the Amazon Fire is too high and that puts you at a disadvantage when purchasing the actual thing. Personally, the Amazon-like system is not the only part of the experience I find annoying; there is also the matter of updates, which come regularly.

9. Facebook Camera Kit v4

One of the coolest aspects of the Sony Xperia Master series is the ability to shoot photos with a traditional film camera. One of the most surprising features of the Facebook Camera Kit is the built-in camera developed specifically to capture stunning video on the device. Although it needs to work with the phone, even if your original setup is messed with, then this feature can handle that. Not to lie, it’s kind of funny too.

10. Microsoft Surface Neo

I mean, to be honest...it has been a while since I had to recommend anything by Microsoft. When it comes to handsets it’s not your fault. That said it truly is amazing. They have created a powerful keyboard that makes typing easier and faster while keeping a balance between portability and power. There are quite a few reasons to recommend this model, not least of which is that it doesn’t offer nearly enough performance to fully satisfy. Also, the cost is quite expensive, especially compared to the competition.

Conclusion

I must say that I think the world of smartphones has gotten more complex and sophisticated every year. Despite being useful it can get a little overwhelming depending on what one wants to achieve with a simple gadget. While making the ultimate decision we are often forced into considering our budget, but then it’s a fair trade-off. Don’t forget to consider the features as well as the possibilities on these devices before you buy them. With smartphones becoming increasingly more capable and portable, it can be hard to say which one’s best. At the moment I say this because it’s obvious that there is no true winner.
